      ISY CAD INSTALLATION MANUAL

      Download ISY CAD application from the link above. Follow the installation procedure step by step and extract the ISY CAD application to an empty folder. Default folder is C:\isycad_downloads.

      The ISY CAD application is now ready for installation in MicroStaion. The installation can be done semi-automatic or manually:

      SEMI AUTOMATIC INSTALLATION
      In the folder where the ISY CAD application was extracted (normally C:\isycad_downloads), you will find a *.ma-file. The name will be a bit different depending on which version of MicroStation ISY CAD is created for:

      • Install_v8i.ma for MicroStation v8i
      • Install_xm.ma for MicroStation XM Edition
      • Install_v8.ma for MicroStation 2004 Edition

      Start MicroStation and drag this ma-file into one of the views. The installation program will now start.

      You can also start the installation by using key-in. Open the key-in window in MicroStation (in the Utilities menu) and type in MDL LOAD {PATH TO *.MA-FILE}

      Key-in example for MicroStation v8i: MDL LOAD C:\ISYCAD_Downloads\Install_v8i

      Follow the installation procedure step by step.

      NB! .net addin files will not work on a network share due to MicroSofts security policy. The files in the addin-folder should be placed locally. Default location of .net addins is C:\ISYCAD_v8i\mdlapps\addin\bin. In the TCMain.cfg-file the path is defined in the variable TC_LOCAL_DIR.

      Before running the installation of ISY CAD, all existing MicroStation applications added in the variable MS_DGNAPPS should be closed before running installation of ISY CAD. If not, the installation might fail to overwrite some config files.

      AUTOMATIC START OF APPLICATION
      if you want ISY CAD to be started on load of MicroStation or PowerDraft, some minor changes can be done in the TCMain.cfg-file.

      Uncomment the MS_DGNAPPS-variable and add the ISY CAD application to this variable. For instance, ISY CAD PeaNuts can be added by typing: MS_DGNAPPS > peanuts. If you prefer several applications to start on load, add a new line starting with MS_DGNAPPS > {application name}
